Job Description:
Harambec is seeking a Project Assistant to contribute to a capacity-building project. By March 2025, the project aims to establish a 5-year strategic plan and create a bilingual board governance policy and training manual that integrates Black feminist values.
Responsibilities:
- Support the creation and implementation of a 5-year strategic plan and a bilingual governance policy.
- Assist in drafting a training manual for the board of directors.
- Help establish an advisory committee representative of the target population.
- Contribute to the publication of governance policies and resources on the website.
- Participate in implementing an evaluation process to measure the success of the governance policies.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience in project management and community organizing, preferably in Black activist spaces.
- Deep understanding of issues facing Black women and non-binary Black people.
- Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently, and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work remotely.
- This position is reserved for someone who identifies as Black, in line with Harambec’s mission and values.
