On Thursday, October 10, 2024, Dr. Aida Bueno Sarduy delivered a powerful lecture on “Barracoon Feminism and the Gaze of Black Women: An Afrocentric Perspective on Biographical References.” The evening continued with the screening of the short documentary Guillermina, followed by the international launch of the audiovisual work Joaquina de Angola and the presentation of the film Anna Borges do Sacramento.
